How to create list of links to choosen WP authors?

If you’d like to list only choosen authors, ACF module may be great help. Pro version contains “Repeater field” that allows admin to add and easily change order of unlimited items. One of standard field types is called “User” – this one allows admin to choose one of registered users and returns it’s array. User ID can be used to get author URL.

ACF repeater setup, User field type

ACF repeater setup, User field type

Example of array returned by get_field(‘authors-link’,’options’) for config from the screenshot:
[php]
Array(
[ID] => 127
[user_firstname] => John
[user_lastname] => Doe
[nickname] => John Doe
[user_nicename] => john-doe
[display_name] => John Doe
[user_email] => j-doe@gmail.com
[user_url] =>
[user_registered] => 2011-09-28 08:13:54
[user_description] =>
[user_avatar] =>
)
[/php]
To get author link, simply use get_author_posts_url function. In that case, it will look like this:

[php]
$author = get_sub_field(‘authors-link’,’options’);
echo get_author_posts_url($author[ID]);
[/php]

Digital Licensing

licensing

About the Extension

Jigoshop Digital Licensing is a powerful Jigoshop extension, perfect for WordPress plugins developers who want to sell their works easily and securely. Customers are provided with automatically generated licence keys which are required to activate the plugins bought in your shop. An activation limit can also be set, different for each plugin. The extension also offers an automatic plugin update system.

Installation

  1. Connect to your server’s FTP

  2. Copy the “digital-licensing” folder from the zip into the “wp-content/plugins” directory

  3. Login to your WordPress administrator panel

  4. Click the “Plugins” tab and you will see your newly installed plugin – activate it.

Usage & how it works

Let’s see how the extension works based on a basic plugin example, from its creation to buying and activating it by a customer.

Making your plugin work with licences

First of all, you’ll have to change your plugin so it will require a licence.

Start off with copying the licence-manager folder to your root plugin directory.

Then copy and paste this code:

if ( !class_exists( ‘licence_manager’ ) ) {
require( ‘licence-manager/licence-manager.php’ );
}
$licence_manager = new licence_manager( __FILE__, ‘your_plugin_name’, ‘https://your-shop-with-plugins.com/’ );
if ( !$licence_manager->is_licence_active() ) {
return false;
}

to the init function in your plugin. If you don’t have one, you can easily create it:

add_action( ‘plugins_loaded’, ‘init_my_plugin’ );
function init_my_plugin() {

if ( !class_exists( ‘licence_manager’ ) ) {
require( ‘licence-manager/licence-manager.php’ );
}
$licence_manager = new licence_manager( __FILE__, ‘your_plugin_name’, ‘https://your-shop-with-plugins.com/’ );

if ( !$licence_manager->is_licence_active() ) {
return false;
}

}

Make sure that the shop address is correct!

Adding a product

The next step is to create a product representing your plugin in your Jigoshop store. To do this, enter your administrator panel, then go to Products and add a new product.

taxonomy

Go to the Product Data section and choose Downloadable as Product Type. A File tab will appear – click it.

data

Jigoshop Digital Licensing adds several new fields for Downloadable products. These are:

  • Requires a licence? – enables or disables licensing for this product
  • Product ID – must be the same as your_plugin_name defined earlier
  • Licence key prefix – optional prefix added to license keys
  • Version – current plugin version
  • Activation limit – the number of sites a customer can activate the plugin on

Apart from that, please remember to upload a zipped package with your plugin. The package should only contain one folder with your plugin. Optionally, you can set a download limit.

When you’re ready, publish your product.

plugin

This is a front-end view of a product representing a plugin. When it is bought and paid for (so the Order status changes to Completed), an e-mail with the link to the package is sent to the buyer. It also includes information regarding the licence:

Licence Email: olaf.sniezek@optart.pl
Licence Key: 74ej511b-98bc-412c-b768-8da45e34f157
5 activations remaining

Running the plugin by the buyer

After the customer uploads the newly bought plugin to their website, they will not be able to run it until the licence key is entered. Customers can activate their plugins by going to this section:

manage

managefull

The licence key from the e-mail message, as well as the-mail address used for buying the plugin must be filled in the fields to activate the plugin.

Control over activations of your plugins

Jigoshop Digital Licensing offers a great overview of your plugins that includes information about their licence keys, activation limits, remaining activations for each customer and sites which your plugins are used on. You can access this panel by moving to Jigoshop -> Licence Keys.

overview

Please note that if you remove a licence key, it will still work for your customer. Therefore, you can remove positions which you don’t need or want to oversee anymore.

Updates

If you add a new feature or a simple fix to your plugin, you will definitely want to automatically introduce the new plugin version to your customers instead of sending them the new package individually.

Jigoshop Digital Licensing offers a full plugin auto-update system. To update your plugin, simply move to the edit page of your product representing the plugin and click the File tab. You will have to upload a package with the new plugin version and change the version number. Press the Update button… and that’s it!

Let’s see how it works for the customers who bought the plugin you have just updated:

taxonomy

A standard WordPress notification about the update will be shown. Clicking the “View version X details” will result in showing the description of the plugin product. After clicking “update now”, an automatic update will start:

Taxonomy Sidebars

taxonomy_plugin

About the Extension

Taxonomy Sidebars is a plugin for WordPress that extends its functionality by allowing to add custom sidebars and widgets on different WordPress taxonomy pages. This versatile extension works with any WordPress plugin that creates custom taxonomies! The plugin is absolutely useful when you want to add widgets to certain WordPress taxonomies only. Not only does it make your site clearer, but it also gives more opportunities when using advanced WordPress plugins, including e-commerce systems like Jigoshop or WooCommerce.

Installation

  1. Connect to your server’s FTP

  2. Copy the “taxonomy-sidebars” folder from the zip into the “wp-content/plugins” directory

  3. Login to your WordPress administrator panel

  4. Click the “Plugins” tab and you will see your newly installed plugin – activate it.

How it works & configuration

Let’s test how the plugin works with basic WordPress taxonomies – post categories and tags.

First of all, you’ll have to add some categories and tags to your site. This is a header of a basic WordPress site:

a

There are three post categories, and we would like to add a widget for the Events category only.

To achieve it, you have to go to the administrator panel, and then move to Apperance -> Taxonomy Sidebars.

b

Here you can add sidebars for any taxonomies you like. The sidebar options are:

  • the sidebar’s name (it is recommended to name it just like the taxonomy you want to assign it to)
  • taxonomy type (basic WordPress taxonomies are post category and tag)
  • two options defining the HTML structure (whether the sidebar should be a list element or a separate box)

c

This is an exemplary sidebar for one of the categories. Note that when you select the taxonomy type, a select box for choosing specific taxonomy will appear. When you’re ready, click “Add”, and then save the changes with a button below.

d

After adding the sidebar in the panel, we will also have to add it to the template file in order to make it visible.

Please login to your FTP server. As we’re adding a sidebar for a category taxonomy, we will have to edit the category.php file in the “wp-content/themes/your_theme_name/” directory.

Add this piece of code:

<?php taxonomy_sidebar(‘the_sidebar_id’); ?>

where the_sidebar_id is the ID of the sidebar you have added in the panel. So in our example, the code will be:

<?php taxonomy_sidebar(‘taxonomy_sidebars-events’); ?>

Add this code above or below the

<?php get_sidebar(); ?>

line.

The last step is to add a widget to our new sidebar. To do it, click Appearance and move to the Widgets section.

On the right, you will see the list of all sidebars with our new Events sidebar:

c

To add a widget to the Events sidebar, click the sidebar to unwind it and drag&drop a widget to it:

d

After configuring the widget settings remember to save the widget.

Taxonomy Sidebars In Action

This is the homepage of our WordPress blog:

a

A standard WordPress text widget can be seen here. It appears at any page of the blog, including the homepage.

Let’s move to the Events category:

b

Here we can see two widgets: the standard one and the taxonomy widget we added before.

You can use this extension in the exact same way with another WordPress taxonomies – tags. Just make sure to select the “Tag” taxonomy type when adding a sidebar and to add this line:

<?php taxonomy_sidebar(‘your_sidebar_id’); ?>

to the

wp-content/themes/your_theme_name/tag.php

file instead of category.php.

There are many other ways of using this extension and the only limit is your imagination.

The received email indicates which product is concerned and if you answer the email you will automatically answer the client. An additional feature is optional reCAPTCHA system, which will block any spam you might receive.

The Premium version allows you to add custom fields to the form. Thanks to this feature you can get more information from your customers (such as different ways of contacting them). Each field can be set as required.

Let’s move to the enquiry form’s fields:

First three fields are standard Product Enquiry Form fields. They are set as required by default. You can name the labels and placeholders (brief information about a field) as you like.

The last two fields have been added by the administrator. You can set additional fields as required or not and choose the field type: short input, e-mail address or big textarea.

The order of fields in the form is the same as in the panel. Therefore, if you want to move the enquiry field below the additonal fields such as Skype, you should remove the enquiry field by clicking “Remove field” and add it again with “Add field”. When you’re ready, save the changes by clicking the button at the bottom of the page.

The enquiry form appears under any product by default. In case you want to disable it for a specific product, enter the administrator panel, click Products and then edit the product, tick “Disable enquiry form” and press Update.

Product Accessories Premium

accesspremium

About the Extension

Jigoshop Product Accessories Premium lets you add individual products as Accessories to another products. It is a great way to suggest your clients what other articles they should consider buying with the base product.

The Premium version offers you the ability to let your customers display accessories by category. This solution makes the accessory list notably clearer as the accessories are separated to individual lists.

Installation

  1. Connect to your server’s FTP

  2. Copy the “jigoshop-product-accessories-premium” folder from the zip into the “wp-content/plugins” directory

  3. Login to your WordPress administrator panel

  4. Click the “Plugins” tab and you will see your newly installed plugin – activate it.

Usage

Before we use the actual plugin, let’s begin with creating a base product and products that will be its accessories. If you want to use the Premium function to let customers choose the accessory category, remember to place the accessories in respective categories. Here is an example:

acpr

If you have already created the products, you should assign accessories to the base product now. In order to do it, enter the edit page of that product, find the Product Data section and click the Accessories tab.

acpr3

You can choose accessories from the list or find them by name or SKU. After choosing the accessories you must save the base product by clicking the Update button.

Now let’s move to the plugin settings by clicking Jigoshop -> Settings -> Product Accessories.

acpr2

The first option allows us to choose the way the accessories will be displayed (under a tab next to the description tab or the same way like Related products). If you decide to display accessories like the related products, you can also choose if they should appear above or under the related products.

The last option applies to the ability to let your customers display accessories by category on the product page. We are going to test the plugin with this setting on and off.

Product Accessories Premium In Action

acpr4

This is a presentation of the plugin. The accessories are displayed just like the related products. The category choice function has been turned off.

acpr5

This here is an example of the plugin with the category choice function active. After choosing a category, products from other categories automatically disappear.

acpr6

In this case we have chosen the second way of displaying accessories – under the Accessories tab. The category choice option has been turned on too.

Filtering Premium

filteringpremium

About the Extension

Jigoshop Filtering plugin allows customers to filter the product list based on the chosen criteria: product categories, product tags and product attributes.
You can merge all three filtering options to narrow the filter results to your liking. The filtering module can be placed before, after (or both) the product list (the home Shop page and category pages) and be used as a widget too.

The Premium version offers new, advanced functions for the most demanding users. The new features totally enhance filtering possibilities, allowing your clients to easily filter the product list and, as a result, make them quickly find what they are seeking.

The Premium functions are:

  • The ability to simultaneously choose a number of parameters of the same type.
  • New, additional ways of showing filtering parameters – checkboxes (multi-choice) and radio list buttons.
  • Graphic and text filtering summaries (information about the number of products after filtering) – with the ability to edit them.
  • A “Reset” button that is used to reset the filtering.
  • Loading products by AJAX after clicking the Filter button.

This extension requires PHP 5.3 or higher to work properly.

Notice: filtering the price of products with the widget price filter resets the settings of the Jigoshop Filtering plugin in Jigoshop lower than 1.4.5.

Installation

  1. Connect to your server’s FTP

  2. Copy the “jigoshop-filtering-premium” folder from the zip into the “wp-content/plugins” directory

  3. Login to your WordPress administrator panel

  4. Click the “Plugins” tab and you will see your newly installed plugin – activate it.

Usage

Click the Filtering tab at the Jigoshop settings page.

opcje

This is the first part of plugin’s options. Here you can:

  • set the position of the filtering module
  • activate the AJAX technology for displaying filtered products
  • turn on or off graphic and text filtering summaries (you can also set the size of graphic marks that represent the number of found products and define the summary text)
  • decide whether to show the reset button and define the text in it
  • select one of three ways of showing parameters in the shop (select list, checkboxes, radio list)
  • choose if you should display headers as default options in selects instead of showing them above the selects
  • choose the way of filtering variable products (notice: showing variations that have all of the chosen attributes can slow down your server)

opcje2

In the second part of the settings you can configure filtering parameters. In this particular case we are going to use checkboxes so we have switched off subcategories. The way they work will be shown in the widget.

If the checkbox mode is chosen, the attributes that you select here will appear as checkboxes, thus making it possible to filter the product list by several attributes of the same type simultaneously.

After you have chosen appropriate settings, save the changes with a button at the bottom of the page.

Filtering as a Widget

Click Widgets under the Appearance tab in your panel.

Drag the “Jigoshop: Filtering Widget” to desired place and, afterwards, click the little arrow on the right side of the widget to set its options.

If you already have an idea for a product that will be configurable with specific components from your shop, the most recommendable way to start is to create the base product that will hold the configuration system. In order to achieve this, enter the administator panel, go to the Products tab and create a new product.

conf

Within the Product Data section, choose Configurable from the Product Type list. You can also consider adding the featured image to distinguish this product from the others.

Click on the Configurable tab. Let’s try to add a configurable part. To do so, click the “Add configurable part” button. Remember that components can only be other products from your store, so you need to have them created first.

conf

You can name the component, choose a default product and choose how to get the replacement products (select from the category of the default product or you can enter product names yourself). In the picture, the manual product selection has been chosen and two products have been added.

Now we will add the second component.

conf2

Now the “Products from the same category” has been chosen.

It’s time for the last, third component.

poles

When you finish adding your components, you will need to save the base product.

Product Comparison

compa

About the Extension

Jigoshop Product Comparison is a Jigoshop extension that adds a product comparison system to your store. Your clients can select a defined number of products and compare their prices, ratings and attributes on a special page. The table with the products contains all the necessary information concerning them and offers advanced configuration options. A nice add-on is a dynamic widget showing all the products that have been chosen to compare.

Installation

  1. Connect to your server’s FTP

  2. Copy the “jigoshop-product-comparison” folder from the zip into the “wp-content/plugins” directory

  3. Login to your WordPress administrator panel

  4. Click the “Plugins” tab and you will see your newly installed plugin – activate it.

Usage

After installing the extension, a Product Comparison tab will be added to the Jigoshop settings. Click the tab to configure the plugin.

Here you have the ability to choose a maximum number of products to compare at once (enter 0 to disable the limit), define the text that appears to a customer after exceeding this limit, choose the position of a checkbox to select a product to compare, as well as the text shown next to it, and finally select the position of the compare button. The extension also allows to save the session for the product comparison page (if a customer visits different pages at your store, their chosen products will remain on the comparison page), as well as save and restore the chosen products on the the next visit of a customer at your store.

comparison2

Further settings concern the table with compared products. Above the table you can display a link to the current comparison (useful for the clients if they want to send a link to the comparison to someone). You can decide whether to show the image of the product, its name, category, rating, attributes, price and link to remove the product from the comparison. You can also define the category separator and add custom links to product descriptions and add to cart links too. If you do not want to use these links, leave the corresponding fields empty. After finishing the configuration of the plugin save the changes with the “Save Product Comparison Changes” button.

Adding a widget

If you want to attach a widget that shows your clients the products they have chosen to compare, enter the administrator panel, then go to Appearance and click Widgets.

comparison3

Find the “Jigoshop: Products added to comparison” widget and drag it to your desired place. You can name your widget (this will appear above the products) and decide if you want to add a compare button to the widget too.

Product Comparison In Action

Let’s see how it looks like! In the picture below a customer selects two products to compare. They automatically appear in the widget.

Thanks to the Authorize.Net payment gateway clients worldwide can conveniently pay at your store by credit cards (MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diner’s Club, JCB) and by the eCheck system.

The “CIM” term stands for Customer Information Manager and is a function allowing sellers to create accounts for their clients on the Authorize.Net website. The data given by the customers at your Jigoshop store is assigned to their accounts on the Authorize.Net site, which allows faster payments on eventual transactions. The Authorize.Net system guarantees the safety of transactions, ensures the protection of data and additionally offers a handy management system for the sellers on its website.

The Jigoshop Authorize.Net payment gateway works only for stores located in the US and using the US dollar. In addition, the gateway works with customer accounts created on checkout too. Authorize.Net requires your server to have the SSL certificate to work properly.

Installation

  1. Connect to your server’s FTP

  2. Copy the “jigoshop-authorize-net-cim” folder from the zip into the “wp-content/plugins” directory

  3. Login to your WordPress administrator panel

  4. Click the “Plugins” tab and you will see your newly installed plugin – activate it.

Usage

1

Within the administrator panel, enter Settings under the Jigoshop tab. Then, click the Payment gateways tab and scroll the page down until you see the settings for the Authorize.Net gateway.

2

You can change the title of the gateway and edit its description. This information will be displayed to the customers after they select Authorize.Net as a payment method.

To have the gateway working properly, it is necessary to get your own API login and transaction key and enter them into the fields shown on the image. In order to do that you need to create a seller account on the Authorize.Net website.

You can also decide whether you allow for handling the eCheck system and if credit card verficiation is required.

Remember about saving the changes with the button on the bottom of the page.

Notice: if a customer makes a payment with their credit card for the first time, their card will be assigned to their account at the Authorize.Net website. The card needs to be validated, which will result in displaying two payments in your panel instead of one (the actual payment + “Authorize Only” payment for the minimal price which is used to verify the card).

More information on the Authorize.Net system can be found here.

Add To Cart Ajax Validation

Jigoshop Add To Cart AJAX Validation is a simple plugin that changes the way of validation on clicking the “Add To Cart” button. By default, Jigoshop hides this button when buying a product is not possible for a number of reasons (f.e. it is out of stock). However, if the last item is sold out a moment before buying the product by a customer and they don’t refresh the page, when they click the “Add To Cart” button the message about lack of availability of the product will be displayed in a convenient AJAX popup with no need to redirect to another page.

Additionally, if your shop has the Product Add-Ons Premium extension installed, when a product with a mandatory field is bought and the field has not been selected, a notification will also be displayed in the AJAX popup.

We are planning to add more AJAX functions of that kind because they improve the dynamics of the store and make shopping more efficient. Stay tuned!

Delivery Times

main

About the Extension

Jigoshop Delivery Times gives you the opportunity to define delivery times for individual days of the week. Not only can you set up the general daily delivery hours range, but also select the time length of a single period and the interval between the moment of order and the first available delivery time on the same day. The last function is really useful for catering companies which offer food delivery.

Apart from that, the extension offers the functions of its plugin twin brother – Delivery Periods, also by OptArt. These include setting up the maximum number of days within which products are delivered and the gap between the day of ordering a product and the first day available for delivery. You also have the opportunity to decide on what days of the week purchases are not delivered and you can add holidays, which also are days off.

Installation

  1. Connect to your server’s FTP

  2. Copy the “jigoshop-delivery-times” folder from the zip into the “wp-content/plugins” directory

  3. Login to your WordPress administrator panel

  4. Click the “Plugins” tab and you will see your newly installed plugin – activate it.

Usage

1

Click Settings under the Jigoshop tab in your panel. Then click the Delivery times tab.

Here you can define delivery times for individual days of the week. “Time slot” is a time length of a single period that can be chosen (measured in minutes; f.e. the result of selecting “30” will be delivery times 8:00-8:30, 8:30-9:00, etc.). “Time sale” is a time interval in minutes between the moment of order and the first available delivery time on the same day.

The Days forward field determines the maximum number of days within which products are delivered, whereas the Days gap field is the gap between the day of order and the first day available for delivery.

2

If some days of the week are constantly unavailable for delivery, you can select them in the Days off list. To select more than one day, hold CTRL and click the days (the same procedure is used when you don’t want any days to be off).

You may also add holidays; deliveries will be unavailable on them. There is also an option to display or hide the information about days off and holidays. When you’re ready, click the Save Delivery times Changes button.

If you want to add your own “Time slot” or “Time sale” minute intervals, insert the following lines to the functions.php file in your template folder:

function add_time_slots($defaults, $day_of_week) {
return array(’10’,’20’,’30’,’60’,’120′); // intervals of your choice
}
add_filter(‘jigoshop_delivery_times_time_slot_times’,’add_time_slots’,10,2);

function add_time_sales($defaults, $day_of_week) {
return array(’15’,’30’,’60’,’90’,’120′); // intervals of your choice
}
add_filter(‘jigoshop_delivery_times_time_sale_times’,’add_time_sales’,10,2);

This is the checkout page. The customer is supposed to choose a suitable delivery time from the calendar. Days off and holidays cannot be selected.

Changelog

  • v1.2 – 2013-06-05

    Example of use (add to functions.php of your theme):

    return ‘m/d/Y’;
    }
    add_filter(‘jigoshop_delivery_times_select_date_format’, ‘jigoshop_delivery_times_date_format’);

Multiple Currencies

main

About the Extension

Jigoshop Multiple Currencies is an extension allowing your shop to handle many currencies simultaneously. It is a must-have for sellers accepting payment in more than one currency.

The extension offers useful features such as the opportunity to define exchange rates between default currency and each of the defined ones (you can also have them updated automatically) and the ability to set up different separators for different currencies. You can also set different fixed prices of single products for each of the currencies. Jigoshop Multiple Currencies comes with two widgets which let the customer switch the currency and read the actual exchange rates.

Installation

  1. Connect to your server’s FTP

  2. Enter the “!overwrite_1.4.X” folder (1.4.X stands for your actual Jigoshop version) in the extension’s zip

  3. Copy and paste all the four folders into “wp-content/plugins/jigoshop” (overwrite them – only before  version Jigoshop 1.5)

  4. Copy the “jigoshop-multiple-currencies” folder from the zip into the “wp-content/plugins” directory

  5. Login to your WordPress administrator panel

  6. Click the “Plugins” tab and you will see your newly installed plugin – activate it.

Usage

settings

Click Settings under the Jigoshop tab in your panel. Then click the Multi currencies tab.

Please check the desired currencies and then scroll down the page.

settings2

If you wish to rely on automatic exchange rates from Oanda.com, please check the Auto exchange rates box.

Before you can define the separators, you need to save the currencies by clicking the Save Multi currencies Changes.

settings3

After defining separators for each of the currencies, remember to save the settings.

currency

If you have decided to have the exchange rates updated automatically, you can skip this step. To define your own currency exchange rates, click Currency exchange under the Jigoshop tab in your panel. You can set your own rates for some currencies and use the Oanda rates for another by clicking the arrows in the currency exchange panel.

Notice: if you automatically get currency rates from Oanda, you can only use up to 20 currencies.

product

You may want to have some products with different fixed prices for different currencies. These will basically be ignoring the actual exchange rates. To achieve this, click the Products tab in your panel. Then click the “Add New” button or Edit your existing product and set up the prices.

widget

The last step is to allow your customers to change the currency. You can do so by clicking Widgets under the Appearance tab in your panel. Next, drag and drop the Jigoshop: Change currency widget to the widget area, name the widget and choose the type of the currency list.

You can also add an informational widget Jighsop: Currency exchange table so you customers can easly check the exchange rates.

For Developers

Exchanges are applied to and were tested with Jigoshop’s:

  • products and taxes
  • shipping amounts (flat rate) and minimal amount for order
  • coupons’ fixed amounts (cart, product) + min/max order values

For payment gateways developers:
If you want your payment gateway to interact with multiple currencies plugin, to find out whether the gateway should be enabled or disabled you can use two filter hooks:

  • jigoshop_multi_currencies_available gives all currencies defined in the multi currency plugin
  • jigoshop_multi_currencies_currency gives the current user currency

For example, if you want to check if one of your gateway’s available currencies are supported:

$multi_currencies = apply_filters( ‘jigoshop_multi_currencies_available’, array() );

if (count($multi_currencies) > 0
&& count(array_intersect($multi_currencies, self::$available_currencies)) > 0 ) {
return true;
}

If you want to check if the gateway should appear on checkout:

You can use something like this in the gateway constructor:

$current_currency = apply_filters( ‘jigoshop_multi_currencies_currency’,
Jigoshop_Base::get_options()->get_option(‘jigoshop_currency’) );
if (!in_array($current_currency, self::$available_currencies)) {
$this->enabled = false;
}

Filtering

main

About the Extension

Jigoshop Filtering plugin allows customers to filter the product list based on the chosen criteria: product categories, product tags and product attributes.
You can merge all three filtering options to narrow the filter results to your liking. The filtering module can be placed before, after (or both) the product list (the home Shop page and category pages) and be used as a widget too.

This extension requires PHP 5.3 or higher to work properly.

Note: filtering the price of products with the widget price filter resets the settings of the Jigoshop Filtering plugin in Jigoshop lower than 1.4.5.

Note: filtering Variable products by attributes will show products that have at least one of the selected attributes instead of all of them. The Premium version of the extension allows to enable filtering for Variables that will show only the products that have each of the selected attributes.

Installation

  1. Connect to your server’s FTP

  2. Copy the “jigoshop-filtering” folder from the zip into the “wp-content/plugins” directory

Notice: when the bar module and the widget module are used simultaneously, the results will be combined. But if you choose different values for the same criteria type, the bar module has the priority.

In this example, Filtering is enabled as a widget only and only one filtering option has been chosen – by category, including subcategories. The parent category has received a “Choose category…” label, whereas the child category has had the “Choose subcategory…” label set.

Attention: When a coupon plus a discount result in a free item, the discount is dropped when “Allow free products with coupons” is set to “No”. The outcome can be troublesome in certain situations, for example when a product is priced 100$ and a 60% discount is applied to it, its cost is 40$. If the customer uses a 50% product price coupon, the discount will be discarded and the final price will be 50$.

We advise you to experiment yourself with the settings and find the most relevant to what you want to accomplish.

Notice: when using Discounts and Coupons together, the Coupons must be of Product (%) Discount type to work properly.

The extension also offers the ability to activate discounts only for the first purchase for each customer.

You can also decide whether to display the “You save: (amount)” information, and if so, where it will be shown. After you have configured the plugin, save the changes.

Notice: Discounts are not taken into account for products on sale.

The Premium version offers additional opportunities for the most demanding clients.

The 1.7.3 version offers a new convenience – after a customer has added a product with Add-Ons to cart, if he visits the product page again, his Add-Ons’ settings will be automatically restored.

FAQ

1. How can I style Add-Ons’ headers?

The Add-Ons’ headers are h3 HTML elements and are styled as another h3 elements on your site. If you want to change the way your Add-Ons’ headers look, you can easily do it by adding CSS instructions to your theme’s stylesheet file. The file is named “style.css” and is located in the “wp-content/themes/your_theme_name/” folder.

For example, if you want to make the Add-Ons’ headings red and set their font size to 14px, you have to edit the style.css file and paste this instruction:
.product-addon h3 {font-size:14px; color:red;}
at the end of the file.

Choosing the pendrive from the select box.

FAQ

For example, if you want to make the Add-Ons’ headings red and set their font size to 14px, you have to edit the style.css file and paste this instruction:
.product-addon h3 {font-size:14px; color:red;}
at the end of the file.
